My research combines biodiversity modelling with rewilding and restoration policy. I use models to assess how climate and land-use change affect species and communities and compare the outcomes of different restoration strategies. I focus on climate-smart rewilding, examining how restoring ecological processes can support biodiversity and contribute to climate adaptation and mitigation. This work informs restoration policies that put rewilding and other nature-based solutions into practice.
